VOLUNTEERS NEEDED TO OBSERVE PUBLIC POLICY MEETINGS!

For over 100 years Leagues around the nation have been hosting important candidate forums

and debates with local and state candidates, keeping the electorate informed.

The LWVLC Board Observation Corps Committee is a way to actively monitor our elected officials actions and bring that information to the voters. We need volunteer Corps Members to monitor various meetings. Many meetings are broadcast live, so you can safely observe from the your home, where you will complete a simple worksheet, and submit to us.

If you can volunteer to become an observer for any of the meetings below, please send your interest to lwvlaporte@gmail.org. You do not have to volunteer for every meeting, so if you can only attend one or two that is fine! Remember, the LWVLC is a non-partisan organization and we are observing as a commitment to our mission to Empower Voters and Defend Democracy.

LaPorte County Board of Commissioners meets the first Wednesday of each month at 10:00 am and the third Wednesday of each month at 6:00 pm.
